We partnered with the Air Cadet Charity to design, configure, and deliver 13 fully integrated, portable flight simulation systems. Built to overcome the spatial, logistical, and financial constraints of traditional fixed-base simulators, each solution was delivered as an all-in-one “simulator in a box.”

Configured in-house with Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3D simulation platform, these mobile units provide cadets across multiple squadrons with access to high-fidelity, standardised primary flight training wherever training takes place.

About the Air Cadet Charity

The Air Cadet Charity supports youth aviation education across regional squadrons, air experience flights, and volunteer-led detachments. Originally established in 1960 by the Secretary of State for Air, the fund supports charitable purposes for the benefit of cadets and personnel of the Air Training Corps.

Over more than six decades of continuous operation, the charity has evolved from a traditional welfare and equipment fund into an essential operational enabler.

The RedboxXR Flight Simulator

Leveraging RedboxXR’s engineering expertise, our team designed and built custom “Flight Simulator in a Box” stations.

Rather than dealing with loose desktop gear, tangled wires, and delicate parts rolling around the boot of a van, everything lives inside one self-contained unit. Pop the latches, lift the lid, and you’ve got a full training station ready to go: high-spec PC, display monitor, and high-resolution VR headset, alongside the flight controls.

Beyond the hardware integration, we also delivered a fully bespoke visual finish with our custom branding service. We ensured the fleet looked the part wherever it was deployed. Every flight case and Virtual Reality headset was finished with durable, custom branding featuring the Air Cadet Charity’s official livery.

We’re honoured to have teamed up with the Air Cadet Charity on this project. Helping equip the next generation of pilots is a fantastic mission, and knowing our flight cases are giving young people their first real taste of the cockpit is hugely rewarding for the entire team.
