Commitment to achieving Net Zero
RedboxVR Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2045 across Scope 1, Scope 2 and all relevant Scope 3 emissions, within a global operational boundary.
This Carbon Reduction Plan sets out RedboxVR Ltd’s environmental management measures and carbon emission reduction targets, and details the organisation’s progress towards achieving Net Zero. It has been prepared in accordance with PAS 2060, the requirements of PPN 006, and the reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans set out in Annex A.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past, and are used as a reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Waste generated in operations is calculated using Biffa’s actual waste disposal report (13 months of invoiced collections, Aug 2025-Aug 2026), showing 98.28% of general waste is diverted from landfill by weight.

RedboxXR reports the following Scope 3 categories for FY24/25: the five categories mandated under PPN 006, plus one voluntary category (Fuel and energy related activities), calculated ahead of the minimum requirement.

Emissions reduction targets
RedboxVR Ltd has adopted a target of Net Zero emissions by 2045, from a 2024/25 baseline of 26.55 tCO2e (Scope 1, 2 and the Scope 3 categories reported above). A fully quantified interim reduction pathway, including five-yearly milestones, is currently being developed and will be published in the next annual review of this plan.
Progress against these targets will be reported below in future updates of this document.
Carbon Reduction Projects
Completed carbon reduction initiatives
The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the baseline year:
- Introduced a cycle-to-work scheme
- Appointment of a Chief Sustainability Officer (Jayke Rouse) & formation of an ESG Committee (Simon Fretwell, Natasha Hall & Jayke Rouse)
Carbon reduction targets and planned initiatives
RedboxVR Ltd has already put in place a number of measures ahead of the 2024/25 baseline being fully measured, and intends to implement further measures to continue reducing emissions, including:
- Implement a formal environmental management system
- Engage top 5 suppliers on their own decarbonisation plans
- Move to a fully renewable electricity tariff at next contract renewal in 2028
- Replace the remote sales team’s ICE vehicle with an electric vehicle – already ordered, delivery pending
- The impact of these measures on RedboxXR’s overall emissions will be quantified and reported in future annual reviews of this plan, alongside the interim reduction milestones referenced above.
